In the 1800s, itinerant preachers riding horseback made circuits throughout the River Bend area, serving the faith needs of pioneer families. Over time, the number of churches and size of congregations increased until there are now over 200 houses of worship of 75 different denominations serving the area. No matter what faith or denomination you may be, there is almost certainly a house of worship available to practice your faith.
In architectural style, these churches run the entire range from beautiful examples of early traditional to ultra-modern and in denominations from Adventist to Unitarian to non-denominational.
